Hiroshi Hatakeyama was born and raised in Japan in 1972.  He started drawing since he was a child because of his mother.  His mother was also an artist as an oil painter, so he got influence from his mother.

In 1994, he came to the United States to study, and he finished his Associate of Art in Spokane Falls Community College.  While he was in the school, he was also took several fine art classes and studied about American art.  At that time, he was also interested in graphic design in computers, so he went Interface Computer School in Spokane and took a Web Page Design program.  Now, he is working for Karen Jean Matsko Hood as an artistic and computer graphic designer.

This Adventure Travel Activity Coloring Book is his first published book.  His pictures show the combination of Japanese and American style that is a new style in this field.
